After initial financial movements back in August, on September 15th Bloomberg reported the main shareholders of two of the giant pulp & paper holdings in Brazil agreed to merge. When effective, the outcome could be the top global Eucalyptus pulp & paper maker to date, with a projection of +10 million tonnes of ECF Eucalyptus Kraft pulp produced per year by 2015.
UPDATE: MERGING DELAYED DUE TO NON FAVOURABLE EVOLUTION OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL MARKETS (a.k.a. "Nadar y Guardar la Ropa")
