Brazil: World Leading Eucalyptus Planter
Paulo Cardoso, covering the XIII World Forestry Congress for Painel Florestal, the leading media specialized in agricultural and forestry matters, approached us at Eucalyptologics for an interview related to the Global Eucalyptus Map 2009 displayed at the Exhibition Area here. So there you can see yours truly blabbering about hectares of tree plantations here and there.
If wondering, the wooden wall the map is displayed on is nothing else than Argentinean grown Eucalyptus grandis solidwood coming from Entre Ríos Province courtesy of Ing. Martín Sánchez Acosta - INTA Concordia . That wonderful eucalypt timber, like Euroglobulus, is very suitable for panels like these and a million other high value uses.

Great presentation Gus.
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather!
ReplyDeleteSeems our Portuguese is good enough for TV, but we are sorry it is of not too much direct help for the anglo-sphere.
We are now in Sao Paulo. As soon as time permits we will be showing you all an example of a 100% Eucalyptus grandis timber made house, Canadian design, Argentinean timber. Another wonderful example of what can be done with these timbers if properly cultivated and processed.Hopefully inspirational for organized growers aiming at high value Eucalyptus production.
Also soon new videos depicting the daily labour at a clonal Eucalyptus nursery, so anyone can use as reference each time the "they won't root from cuttings" rumour is heard.
Many greetings to NZ!
Gus
