Australia said sorry... twice

"From beyond the frontiers of the sculptural forms within this mountain forest scene, a new force within the human range can be evoked, a power ... which by its emergence, will be able to change the course of everything and bring forth a renewal of life in Australia."

"The means may be likened to a seed, the end to a tree: and there is just the same inviolable connection between the means and the end as there is between the seed and the tree"

William Ricketts planted a seed by 1934 in an Eucalyptus forest and nurtured it for a lifetime, trying to give voice to the vanishing indigenous Australian culture. A silent voice made sculpture, bringing back the fading Aboriginal men to their old home. A memorial for what was lost and cannot be recovered. His legacy is now a sanctuary. Saying sorry for all.

75 years after Ricketts seed, Australia said sorry to the Stolen Children. The harijan were honoured. The tree was ripe.
